Botanical Name: Angophora costata

Common Name: Smooth barked apple gum

Growth Habits: A medium/large tree. Angophora costata, or Smooth-barked Apple,is a very attractive tree with its green foliage contrasting with the red new growth. It has a pink to pale grey, sometimes rusty-stained bark, which is shed in spring in large flakes with the new salmon-pink bark turning to pale grey before the next shedding.

Watering Needs: Drought tolerant species once established.
